Privacy policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

The short version

TravelPrep works without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we keep only what's needed to sync your saved items between your devices. We don't sell or share it, and you can delete it at any time.

Without an account

Your watchlist, trips, checklists and settings are stored only in your browser on this device. We don't receive them.

What we collect when you sign in

We don't use Google sign-in to read your contacts, email, files or anything else in your Google account.

How we use it

Only to sign you in and sync your saved items across your devices. We don't use it for advertising, we don't track you across other sites, and the app has no analytics.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone. The data is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1), which processes it only to run the service.

Deleting your data

Open the Profile tab while signed in, choose Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your account and everything saved to it from our server. Items saved in your browser on a device stay there until you clear them. Signing out (or "Sign out everywhere") ends your sessions without deleting anything. You can also remove TravelPrep's access in your Google account settings.

Third-party content

The app loads travel advisories from the U.S. State Department, health notices from the CDC, weather from Open-Meteo, photos from Wikimedia Commons, and the Google sign-in button from Google. Those services receive normal web requests from your browser (such as your IP address) under their own privacy policies.

Children

TravelPrep isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
